Brian Miller will assume the role of business development vice-president, and Jeffrey Mueller will serve as business development manager.

Miller will be responsible for determining the potential and feasibility of investment opportunities regarding acquisitions, new ventures, investments in properties and technologies, and other corporate development initiatives.

An industry veteran with 20 years experience, Miller has been in a consultancy role for Foundation since June 2006.

Mueller’s new position will focus on the implementation of overall business development initiatives while providing a full breadth of expertise in engineering and operational assessments.

Mueller has amassed 31 years of mining engineering experience. Most recently he served at Foundation Coal affiliate Warrick Holding Company as manager of operations, idle properties – overseeing the final reclamation and property development related to the former Ayrshire and Delta mines.
