Coking coal exports were 8.54Mt and thermal exports were 3.02Mt, giving a grand total of 11.56Mt for the month. This was only slightly above October 2003 levels of 11.34Mt.

Output per seven hour employee shift for Northern underground mines was 39.41t on the face and the central district measuring 53.45t on the face.

Underground employment continued to rise from 2,764 in November 2003 to 2,951 in November 2004.
