The permits now encompass 890.8 square kilometres, or 343 square miles, and total about 50% of three townships adjacent to the eastern boundary of the first permitted ground it received in the province.
The property is about six miles from the coal discovery recently announced by North American Gem, which included a 5m coal intersection that was graded sub-bituminous "A" quality.
In addition to its coal permits, Kent Exploration has several other mining interests in Canada for other minerals, including Flagstaff Mountain (gold/silver/zinc/barite), Ivanhoe Creek (gold/silver), a deposit in Nevada's Carlin Trend (bentonite), and Silver Hills (silver/lead/zinc prospect).
It also has a 100% interest in the Courtney Lake property (silver/lead/zinc) in northeast Saskatchewan.
Last week, Kent announced the acquisition of 53 permits, all of which are located within four townships located immediately north of Montreal Lake. Its initial 43 coal disposition permit applications from SER are still pending approval.
