The CMTS offers productivity and cost efficiencies for operations by separating the low-low section and out-bye conveyor, therefore reducing drag on the conveyor.
Traditional low-low conveyor structures use steel side-bars instead of rotating components which put a great deal of stress on the conveyor and can lead to belt damage. Drag on the low-low can limit the length of a conveyor or require additional out-bye conveyors.
The CMTS works by isolating the low-low section of the belt from the main out-bye panel belt. By isolating this section, the outbye can operate independently and no longer suffer from drag in the low-low section.
CMTS incorporates the drive and take-up pulleys of the low-low conveyor, and the tail pulley for the main out-bye section conveyor into a fully-articulated mobile transfer. Regardless of the angle between the two-belts, the belts will align.
CMTS can also be steered by an operator via a remote joy stick or via hand-operated hydraulic actuation valves.
