The deal with United Steelworkers Local 7884 is for a five-year term, expiring April 30, 2016.
鈥淭he union negotiating committee is unanimously recommending ratification of the tentative collective agreement to its membership,鈥� the company said.
Teck added it would not release any details until that ratification was secured.
Fording River鈥檚 current agreement expired April 30.
The news comes after a two-month strike at Teck鈥檚 Elkview operation. While the parties initially could not agree on a labor agreement, a deal was reached in early April that put the mine鈥檚 staff back to work April 8.
Fording River mine produces about 8.7 million tons annually.
